Jaime M. Dejesus Rodriguez

Jaime Manuel de Jesus Rodriguez, 46, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2023. He was born December 22, 1976.

Jaime is survived by his father, Jaime de Jesus; his mother, Magdalena Rodriguez; his brother on his father’s side, Jason de Jesus; his siblings on his mother’s side, Yajaira Cruz, Erika Cruz, and Heriberto Cruz; as well as some nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jaime spent his career with the State of Connecticut where he retired as an Office Assistant in the Department of Insurance. He had a vibrant love for travel, especially for Puerto Rico and the ocean waves caressing the shore. He had an enthusiasm for anime (like Dragon BallZ), collectibles of all sorts, including coins, and he loved video games, movies and comics. He also loved wrestling, f1 racing and martial arts. Over the years, he enjoyed many sushi outings with cousins. With a strong passion for books, storytelling and family history, his legacy will live in the memories of friends and family.

A viewing and Celebration of Life will take place from 11:00am-1:00pm on Wednesday, March 29 at the Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain, CT 06051. Following the service, the burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St, New Britain, CT 06051. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org or to New Britain General Hospital at https://thocc.org/giving .
