Jack P. Gillotti, Sr, 85, a loving father, grandpa, brother and friend passed peacefully Friday October 17th moments after the arrival of his beloved son traveling from Washington, DC. His family will always remember his great sense of humor, kindness and acceptance of all people. Voted "Most Talkative", by Danbury High School Class of 1946, he loved a good time, everything Italian and a great meal. He was born to the late John and Vincetta (Valluzzo) Gillotti on February 27, 1929 in Danbury, Connecticut and spent his retirement years in Avon, CT, an area that brought him many wonderful friendships. He was the former V.P. of Danbury Savings and Loan and retired from Farmer State Bank, Warsaw Indiana. Jack was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He is survived by his 3 children, Cathi Nelson and her husband Larry Nelson of West Hartford, Jennifer Gillotti of Middletown and Jack Gillotti of Arlington, Va, his sister Rose Kruse of Danbury and his grandchildren Eric Paliuca, Joshua and Moriah Nelson. A Christian burial will be held at St Peters Cemetery, Danbury at 11 am Wednesday, October 22. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, New Britain is in charge of arrangements.
