Ivette Cordero Medina

Ivette Cordero Medina of New Britain, CT passed away peacefully at UConn Medical Center on June 13, 2019, after a courageous battle with peritoneal cancer.  She was surrounded by her loving husband, sons and other loved ones at her time of passing.

Ivette was born in Bronx, NY on February 17, 1963 to parents Heriberto and Ines Cordero. At the age of 3, her family moved to New Britain, CT where she resided for the remainder of her life. Ivette loved to spend time with her husband and children. She and Frank were inseparable. He remained vigilantly by her side throughout her entire cancer journey. Together they enjoyed listening to music, dancing, traveling and keeping up with their son’s various athletic activities. She was an amazing, generous and loving wife and mother.

Ivette had an infectious smile and vibrant personality. She made friends easily and cherished each relationship. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Ivette liked to shop, cook, work out and practice her faith in God. She was an incredible person whose life will be forever celebrated by all whose hearts she touched.
