Isabel Lorraine Gauthier, 84, of New Britain, beloved wife of Arthur "Jack" Gauthier, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Kingston, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Victor. She was a New Britain resident for most of her life. Lorraine graduated from Connecticut Institute of Hairdressing in Hartford and later worked for the Weathervane. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Rosary Guild and the Catholic Women's Council. Lorraine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her greatest joy was her family and tending to her flower gardens. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her husband, Arthur "Jack" Gauthier, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage; five children, Mark Gauthier and his wife Janne of Farmington, Lisa Gauthier of Lebanon, Denise Doty and her husband James of New Britain; Paul Gauthier of Berlin, and Lori DiLoreto and her husband Mark of Berlin; seven grandchildren, Lauren, Brittany and Arianna Gauthier, Heather Lohr and her husband Joshua, Shaun and Kayla Gauthier, and Samuel Deiwert. Lorraine is also survived by her brother Raymond Victor of Berlin; nephew Brian Victor and niece Deborah Hellings. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM directly at St. Joseph Church with burial following at St. Mary's Cemetery in New Britain.
