Irene Ruth Kupfer

OBITUARY: Irene R. Kupfer Irene Ruth Kupfer, 79, of New Britain, widow of Donald Kupfer, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2006. Born in Mt. Vernon, NY, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Anna Ritner Schroedel. Irene was a long-time New Britain resident and was formerly employed at Mag's Clothing and at the Water Department for the City of New Britain. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Ladies Aid Society. Surviving are her daughter, Ruth Kupfer of Reading, MA, a granddaughter, Emily Shick of Reading, MA, and a son-in-law, Peter Novello of North Andover, MA. She was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Novello. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
