Irene Martha Dulze Jahn, 92, of New Britain, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008 surrounded by her loving family at the Hospital of Central CT, at New Britain General. She was the widow of Alfred Jahn. Born in Kirchhain, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Martha Kohler Dulze. Irene was a New Britain resident since 1953 and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Schultzen Park Society, and the Liederkranz. Surviving are her son, Manfred Jahn and his wife Anne-Rose of Germany; three daughters, Ruth Kopcyk, Waltraud Streib and her husband George of New Britain, Ursula Coe and her husband Tyler of Berlin; a sister, Margaret Wichmann in Germany; thirteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Reinhard Jahn. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 13 at 7:30 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main Street. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
