Inez Johanna Anderson Anderson, 98, formerly of Kensington, died peacefully on Tuesday, Sept 26, 2006 at New Britain General Hospital. She was the widow of Eric H. Anderson. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late August and Augusta Johansson Anderson. She was a former New Britain resident before moving to Kensington in 1966. She attended local schools and graduated from the Morse Business College in Hartford. Inez was a devoted member of First Lutheran Church, and a former member of the Ruth Unit at Church, the Lutheran Church Women, Golden Friendship, senior citizens, AARP in Berlin, a member of Tegner- Valkyrian Lodge Order of Vasa, and the Wennerberg Auxiliary. Inez was devoted to her church and family, and continued to be mentally alert until the time of her passing. Surviving are a son, David D. Anderson and his wife Carole of Avon; a daughter, Karen G. Swanson and her husband Warren of Waterford; six grandchildren, Gregg Swanson, Gary Swanson, Lynn Castelpoggi, Michael Anderson, Meredith Lee, and Alison Morgan; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jean Anderson of New Britain; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Lori Swanson, and by a great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:15 AM at First Lutheran Church of the Reformation, 77 Franklin Square, New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 77 Franklin Sq., New Britain, CT 06051. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, New Britain, is in charge of arrangements.
