Hubert Godin, 80, of New Britain, beloved husband of Joyce Godin, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 at the Hospital of Central CT surrounded by his family. Born in Fort Kent, Maine, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Regina (Theriault) Godin. Hubert was a New Britain resident for past 49 years. He was employed as a machinist at Fafnir Bearing Co. before retiring. Hubert was a member of St. Ann's Church and a loving member to his family. Surviving are his wife, Joyce (Theriault) Godin; three sons, Hubert M. Godin and his wife Sandra; Jeffrey Godin and his wife Valerie; Wade Godin and his fiancée Diane Pritt; and his daughter Karen Greenier; along with 10 brothers and 7 sisters. His brothers and their spouses are Melvin and Pauline; Gilbert Jr. and Arlene; Maurice and Delores; Roger and Mary Ann; Bertrand and Yvonne; Philip and Laura; Patrick and Laurie; Rodney and Arlene; David; and Allen and Brenda. His sisters their spouses are Kathleen Martin and Thomas; Marie Sonier and Ronald; Albertine Picard; Glenda Chamberland and Roy; Darlene Ouellette and Allyre. Hubert was predeceased by two sisters Rena Godin and Geraldine Saucier. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great grand children, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main Street on Saturday October 17th from 8:30-9:30 am with a eulogy at 9:00. This will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Ann's Church in New Britain. Calling hours are Friday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
