Hipolito Reyes

Hipolito Reyes, 78, of New Britain, beloved husband of Gregoria Baez Reyes, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at the Hospital for Special Care. Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, he was a former resident of New York and lived in New Britain for the past 36 years. He served in the National Guard during the Korean War and was formerly employed at General Electric. In addition to his wife Gregoria, he is survived by two daughters, Daisy Reyes and her husband Manuel, Gregoria Lubin and her husband Ed, all of New Britain; two sons, Hipolito Reyes Jr. and his wife Dora of New Britain, Miguel Reyes and his wife Mercedes of Elizabeth, NJ; a sister Marta Tirado of New Jersey; five grandchildren, Manuel, Diana, Miguel and Erica Reyes, and Isabel Moore; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 7-9 PM .
