Hilda V. Rodriguez

Hilda V. Rodriguez, age 89, of New Britain, passed away on October 22, 2022, at Southside University Hospital from complications. Hilda V. Rodriguez was born in April 1933 in Santa Isabel, PR. She attended Santa Isabel Public Schools and worked at North Judd for 25 years in New Britain, CT. Hilda V. Rodriguez moved from her birthplace of Santa Isabel to New York for a few years, then moved to New Britain, Connecticut, where she resided for 59 years. Following that, she moved to Long Island, New York for a few years till she passed away. Hilda left an impact on everyone she came into contact with. She had a beautiful, loving, and lively spirit. She loved dancing and cooking. Her favorite dish to make was carne guisada. She was a strong, hard-working woman who worked two jobs because she did everything and anything to provide for her children. Hilda was actively involved with St. Mary’s church and was a woman of strong faith.

Hilda is survived by her three children, Jacqueline Morales, Michael Rodriguez, and Anthony Antonetti; by her four sisters, Carmen Burgos, Luz Mari, Felicita Bermudez, and Matha Kelly; and by her three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother. Hilda V. Rodriguez will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Church, New Britain.  Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.  Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
