Heriberto "Juji" Mendez-Ribot

It is with great sadness that the family of Heriberto Mendez-Ribot announces his sudden passing on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the young age of 23. Eddie or as we call him "Juji" showed all of us his strength during his month long battle with T- Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma.

Juji was extremely selfless and kind to everyone who was blessed enough to come across him. He was a remarkable person and showed his gratitude and love, without reservation . Juji had the ability to walk into the room and light it up with that infectious smile and charisma. He was a hard worker, always volunteered his time to help others. Juji was very ambitious and would not take no for an answer. The last few months he decided to take his love for gaming to the next level and pursue a degree in Game development at Full Sail University in Florida. Prior to this he called New Britain home where he grew into the amazing young man we all know and love. He loved spending time running, skateboarding and being active outside.

Family was very important to Juji as he was to them. He will be missed immensely by his Mother Marisol, Father Luis and little sister Vanessa Ribot. He also leaves behind his grandmother's Nancy and Gladys, his Godparents, along with his God Siblings Suhailey and James, many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. We as a family take solace in knowing that during his final days here he was surrounded by lots of love, laughter, and prayers just as he wanted. May he rest with the Lord now.

Calling hours and funeral services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain.
