Henry Charles Freese

Henry Charles Freese, 91, of Newington, beloved husband of Ingeborg Johnson Freese, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Charles and Emily Suprenant Freese. He was a former New Britain resident, moving to Newington in 1948. He was formerly employed at Fafnir Bearing Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Newington, where he had served as a Sunday school superintendent and teacher, and where he was a former member of the church council. In addition to his wife Ingeborg, he is survived by two daughters, Linda Braun and her husband William of Burlington and Lois Serafino of Southington; a son, Steven Freese and his wife Patricia of Newington; a granddaughter, Jennifer Freese of Middletown; three nieces, Cynthia Pavano and Sandy Quarello, both of Kensington, and Karen Omartian of Arlington, VA; and a nephew, Kenneth Freese of Bristol. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the local food share program of your choice.
