Helen Teresa Raczek

Helen Teresa Raczek, 88, of New Britain, widow of Joseph Andrew Raczek, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at the Hospital of Central CT. Born in New Britain, she was a life-long resident. Helen was the daughter of the late Isador and Katherine (Zysek) Pilkiewicz. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and was a member of Sacred Heart Ladies Guild in her younger years. Surviving are a son, Richard Raczek and his wife Jane of Burlington; a daughter, Christine Raczek of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Henry Pilkiewicz, and by a sister, Lee Satkowski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain.
