Helen P. Chudzik

Helen P. Trzaskos Chudzik, 78, of New Britain, died peacefully at the home of her daughter on Friday, July 19, 2002. She was the widow of Walter P. Chudzik who died in 1999. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Rosalie Statkiewicz Trzaskos. She was a lifelong New Britain resident. Helen was formerly employed as an Executive Secretary in the Purchasing Department at Pratt & Whitney for fifteen years. She was a lifelong member of St. Jerome Church. Helen's great love in life was her family. She was always a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Mary-Beth and Mark McCarthy of Kensington; two very special grandchildren, Amanda and Samantha McCarthy; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Traskos, and two sisters, Mary Paskowski and Genevieve Pershy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Church, Kensington. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Central CT, 40 East St. Plainville, CT 06062. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is serving the family.
