Harry Badrigian, 89, formerly of New Britain, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017. He was the husband of the late Rose (Harmaian) Badrigian.
Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Peter and Helen (Bayondorian) Badrigian. Harry was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and completed music school while in the Navy. He graduated from Hart School of Music and earned his Master’s Degree and Sixth Year Education Certification at UCONN. He was a Music Teacher in Southington and West Hartford before retiring. Harry was the conductor of the J.C. Lentini Band and gave private music lessons at Burritt Music. Harry was a member of the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection in New Britain, the Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension in Trumbull, and the Knights of Vartan.
Surviving are his son, Dr. Robert Badrigian, his wife, Dr. Cynthia Gentes Badrigian and their son William Badrigian of Woodbridge; a daughter, Barbara Ourlian, her husband Dennis, and their son Zachary of Suffolk, VA; and several cousins. In addition to wife Rose, and his parents, Harry was predeceased by a son, Harry Peter Badrigian, and by his sister, Marion Badrigian.
