Harriet T. Piorkowski

Harriet T. Piorkowski, 95, of New Britain, passed away on Saturday at a local convalescent home. She was the widow of Joseph Piorkowski. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Sophie Suchocki Cmuchowski. Harriet was a lifelong New Britain resident and a member of St. Joseph Church. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Pamela Piorkowski of Florida, her daughter Rita Paige of New Britain, four grandchildren Susan Mag and her husband Henry, Joseph Paige and his wife Paula , Keith and Alison Piorkowski, three great grandchildren, including Jonathan Mag. Harriet was predeceased by her son-in-law Joseph Paige, her brothers Ralph and Vincent Chuchowski, and her sisters Doris Butler, Mae Cooke, Nancy DiBlasio, Irene Luma, Ursula Chuchowski, and Victoria Kupchik. Rita would like to thank Andrew House Healthcare for the wonderful care and respect they extended to Harriet. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
