Harriet Vivian Mann

Harriet Vivian Mann, 64, of New Britain, died peacefully at home on Sunday surrounded by her loving family. Born in Whitakers, NC, she was the daughter of the late Marcus and Lenora Bennett Mann. She was a resident of New Britain for over 30 years and was former employed at United Parcel Service for 27 years before retiring. Surviving are three sons, Tony Mann and his special friend Jackie, Felton Mann Sr. and his wife Elizabeth, and Steven Mann and his special friend Teona, all of New Britain; a daughter, Lenore Clinton and her husband Enoch of Rocky Mount, NC; two brothers, Mack Mann and his wife Shirley of Hartford, and Augusta Mann of Whitakers, NC; three sisters, Melva Allen of Boston, MA, Uteen Hargrove of Rocky Mount, NC and Marjorie Joyner of Enfield, NC; eight grandchildren, Tawaka Mann, Antwan Newson, Soncerrea Neil, Latoya Esparra, Felton Mann Jr., Myleiha Mann, A'maia Mann and Travis Newton; a great-granddaughter, Tyaisa Cooper; many special friends who helped her in so many special ways; a special nephew, Ralph Cooper Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
