Haroutun "Harry" Azarigian, 94, of Farmington, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014 at Middlewoods of Farmington. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Leon and Shooshan (Mooshegian) Azarigian. He was former Farmington resident and a New Britain resident most of his life. Harry was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a farmer for the first half of his working life and was later employed at The Stanley Works, before retiring. Harry was a devoted member of the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection, and was the Godfather of the church since 1979. Harry loved to help people throughout his life. Surviving are seven nieces and nephews, Donald Azarigian of Farmington, Robert Azarigian of McCormick, SC, Clifford Azarigian of Indian Trailer, NC, Gary Azarigian of Chapin, SC, Peter Bagdigian, Patricia Buttero, and Armen Michalak, all of Farmington; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 26, at 11 AM at the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
