Harold Onanian

Harold Onanian, 79, of Hudson, FL, husband of Margaret ''Marge'' Onanian, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Garabed Charles and Alice Caffegian Onanian. He was formerly employed at United Technologies before retiring and was a member of the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection in New Britain. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II. In addition to his wife Marge, he is survived by two sons, Charles Onanian of East Greenwich, RI, and Edward Onanian of Providence, RI; three daughters, Gloria Belcher of Providence RI, Claudette Audette of Cranston, RI, and Christine Onanian of Longford, Ireland. He is also survived by two sisters, Gail Onanian of New Britain, and Beverly Hoosigian of Venice, FL; three step-children, Robert Miller of New Britain, Kathryn McGray of Lakeworth, FL, and Marjorie Miller of West Palm Beach, FL; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Azarigian. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain, CT and at 11:00 AM at the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection, 1910 Stanley St., New Britain, CT 06053 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
