Graceliano Irizarry

Graceliano Irizarry, 95, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at Belair Manor in Newington. He was the loving husband of Maria (Gonzalez) Irizarry who died Nov. 6, 2006 Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Jose Irizarry and Maria Acevedo. He was a New Britain resident since 1970 and was a member of the Christian Pentecostal Church in New Britain. Surviving are eight children, Gloria Rosado, Wilfredo Irizarry, Prudencio Irizarry, Heriberto Irizarry, Vidalina Irizarry, Widillia Vienes, Abraham Irizarry, and Betsy Buitrago; 27 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 7 great great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Maria Perez. Funeral services and calling hours will be held on Monday (today) from 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 10-11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
