Gloria Esther Arroyo

Gloria Esther Arroyo, 71, of New Britain, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003 at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Elisa Rojas of Kentucky and the late Salvador Rojas. She was a New Britain resident most of her life and was a member of St. Mary Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her companion, Antonio Nunez; a daughter, Elizabeth Arroyo, and her companion, David West of New Britain; a son, Charlie Arroyo and his wife Dian Power Arroyo, also of New Britain; three brothers, Salvador Rojas, Jose Rojas, and Luis Rojas; five sisters, Juanita Garcin, Lucy Diaz, Carmen Melendez, Alicia Malespin, and Irene Antonnechia; four grandchildren, Robert Paul Cruz III, Charise Gloria Ramos, Iris Elizabeth Ramos, and Eloy Nelson Ramos; two great- grandchildren, Caitlin Alise Cruz and Ichanayah Marie Lebby. She was predeceased by a son Robert Paul Cruz II. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
