Giovanni "Johnny" Vitarella

Giovanni “Johnny” Vitarella, 49, beloved son and brother, passed away unexpectedly on 6/2/23. Johnny was born in New Britain, CT to Josephine Sabino and Vito Vitarella. He attended St. Ann’s school and New Britain High School where he pursued his passion for acting. He had roles in St. Ann’s “Passion” production and worked with the Hole in the Wall Gang.

Johnny will be remembered for his sense of humor, kind heart, and devotion to his family. Besides his mother and father, he is survived by his brothers Guiseppe and Mario Vitarella, as well several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He will be missed by all.

A Mass of Christian Burial will held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Ann Church of St Joachim Parish, 101 North St., New Britain followed by entombment at St. Mary Cemetery.  There are no visitation hours.
