Gilbert Felix

Gilbert Felix, 53, of New Britain, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, March 2, 2024.  Born in New Britain, he was a New Britain resident most of his life.

Gilbert served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of St. Mary Church.  He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others.  He loved cars, the UCONN Huskies, Miami Dolphins, and movies.

Gilbert is survived by his loving mother, Juana Flores; his beloved daughter, Evelyn; three sisters, Marilin Rosario (Albert), Jacqueline Flores, and Janet Richardson (Lance); many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Groot.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM at St. Mary Church, St. Joachim Parish.  Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.  A calling hour will be on Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
