Family was everything to Gerry. As the matriarch, she gave her love, protection, advice and prayers to all with admirable strength. Gerry has always been a devout Catholic; our amazing personal prayer warrior, saying her daily rosary for all of us and our specific needs. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Newington. In her younger years, she was an avid and accomplished roller skater. Gerry graduated from Aquinas High School and Central Connecticut State College in New Britain. Geraldine taught at Prince Technical High School in Hartford, CT as a Social Studies teacher for over 20 years. For most of her adult life she was a great tennis player, which brought her great joy! Geraldine and her husband Joe enjoyed many happy times both in CT with family and friends and in Port St. Lucie, Florida as snow birds with many friends there as well. She was very loved and will be dearly missed by all.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Newington on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. A reception in her honor will follow.
