Gerald C. "Gerry" Bouchard, 74, of New Britain died peacefully on Friday, April 6, 2007 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut surrounded by his loving family. He was the widower of Phyllis E. Anderson Bouchard. Born in Maine, he was the son of the late Ernest and Fay Adelaide Shaw Bouchard. He was a former Berlin resident and a New Britain resident most of his life. Gerry was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and was formerly employed for 42 years at The Stanley Works, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Bethany Covenant Church in Berlin and was a former member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Gerry also belonged to the Stanley Works Men's Golf League, the Senior Bowling League at Laurel Lanes, and Elks Lodge # 957 in New Britain. Surviving are four loving daughters, Mare Czinar of Phoenix, AR, Debra Eshoo and her husband Ben of Farmington, Evelyn Hudyma and her husband Nick of New Britain, Geri Bernacki and her fianc Chris of Plantsville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Ed Dabkowski of Southington, Phyllis and Albert Charette of Plantsville; eight grandchildren, Mirelle Inglefield, Winter Inglefield, Alexander Eshoo, Rebecca Eshoo, Nicholas Hudyma, James Hudyma, Corey Bernacki, and Matt Bernacki; a great-grandchild, Oakley Hawkes; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Olivia Eshoo. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 4-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
