Georgette S. Jernigan

Georgette S. Jernigan, 91, formerly of New Britain, widow of Earl Jernigan, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at Ledgecrest Healthcare Center. Born in Lester, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Louise (Finley) Talbot. She was a long time New Britain resident. Surviving are two daughters, Jacqueline Hurlbert and her husband Frederick of New Britain; Shirley Nurczyk and her husband John of Columbia; her grandchildren, Bridgette Mulhall, Holly and Jonathan Nurczyk; her great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Kelly, Alexis, and Jesse; and a great great-grandchild, Gabrielle. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at Christian Life Church, Kensington. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 5-7 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
