George F. Winkler

George F. Winkler, 79, of New Boston, NH, husband of June Winkler, died Friday, January 21, 2011 in Bedford, NH. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Karl and Helen Saluk Winkler. He was a former Cheshire, CT, FT. Meyer, FL, and Cape Cod, MA resident before moving to New Boston, New Hampshire five years ago. George was formerly employed as vice president of Dorchester Mutual Insurance before retiring. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, June Krom Winkler; a daughter, Susan Thome and her husband Mark of New Boston, NH; a son, Richard Winkler and his wife Diane of Tolland, MA; a brother, Joseph Winkler and his wife Anita of Bonita Springs, FL; six grandchildren, Eric Thome, Ryan Thome, Kelly Winkler, Nicole Winkler, Jill Winkler, and Lee Winkler; and two great-grandchildren, Miley and Landen. He was predeceased by a brother, Carl Winkler. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be at a later date in New Boston, NH. Calling hours are Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
