Genevieve W. Arbacheski

Genevieve (Jean) W. Arbacheski, 87, lately of East Longmeadow Mass

Jean passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, born of the late Joseph and Mary Walczyk of Newington on Sept. 4, 1931. She was predeceased by three brothers, Lucian, Edward, Stanely Walczyk, one sister Sophie W Syskowski. She was also predeceased by two daughters, Donna Arbacheski and Jeanne Koropatkin-Hettel.

Married to the late Robert Arbacheski in 1951, living in Windsor Locks until Roberts Passing in 1990. Jean later met her fiancée Gus Terranova and lived in Pawcatuck CT until Gus’s passing in 2016.

Retired from Pratt & Whitney. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family, especially her many grandchildren. She loved children so much that she volunteered at St. Francis and Hartford Hospital, often dressing up as a clown to make the children laugh. Her ability to love everyone was boundless.

Survived by her children, Robert Arbacheski, Kathleen Kondracki and significant other Jack, Andrew Arbacheski and wife Jackie, and Geralyn Shaffer and husband Steven; Twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing hour will be on Saturday the 2nd from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St. New Britain CT. followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Church in New Britain. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
