Geneva Farris Lavette

Geneva Farris Landon LaVette, 93, of New Britain, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004 at Southington Care Center. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Eva Steele Landon. She was a life-long New Britain resident and was a member of South Congregational-First Baptist Church. Geneva was predeceased by her husband, Henry F. LaVette and by her son, Henry F. LaVette, Jr. Surviving are her grandchildren, Dennis R. and Patricia LaVette of Berlin, Henry F. LaVette III and Pamela LaVette of Berlin, Ann T. and Donald Tuleja of Terryville, Noreen E. LaVette and Rose Shore of New Britain; her daughter-in-law, Kathryn Reney LaVette of Berlin and West Palm Beach, FL; six great-grandchildren, Kyle, Justin, Amanda, and Katelyn LaVette of Berlin, Luke and Adam Tuleja of Terryville; one niece and several nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 2, 2004 at 11:30 AM in the Erwin Chapel at South Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. Monday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
