Gail Marie Colossa Ravagnani, 69, of Pompano Beach, FL, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at her home. Born in New Britain, CT, Gail was the daughter of the late Noble and Angelina Sarra Colossa, and predeceased by a brother, Fred Colossa of West Palm Beach, FL. Gail resided in Florida since 1978 and has worked in the food and beverage industries for most of her life, as well as doing work in real estate and interior design. She had been a member of St. Joseph Church. Gail is survived by her children, Jill Dymczyk, and her husband Jon of Kensington, CT; Gerald L. Ravagnani of Pompano Beach, FL, and Craig Ravagnani and his wife Doreen of Palmetto, FL; and three grandchildren, Eric and Joseph Ravagnani, and Emily Dymczyk. Gail lived her life with zest and feistiness. She treasured her independence and fiercely fought to maintain it always. The good Lord took her into his arms before Gail's independence was lost. Gail will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but we take solace in knowing that she can now let her guard down maybe!, and be free of her struggles and bask in the warmth of the eternal light. We love you Mom, forever - see you again someday. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 21, at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Church, New Britain. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 21 from 8:30 - 10:00 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain, CT.
