Frank L. Lentini, Sr., 79, of New Britain, died peacefully on Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 at Andrew House Healthcare. He was the husband of the late Yvonne Doty Lentini. Born in New Britain, he was a life long resident and was formerly employed as a machine operator at Fafnir Bearing Co. He was a US Army, National Guard Veteran with the 169th infantry serving stateside during the Korean War. Frank was a member of the American Legion Post 68, the men's auxiliary of the VFW Post 511, the Spartans Veterans Athletic Club, and the New Britain Quartette Club. Frank was a member of St. Joseph Church. Surviving are a son, Frank Lentini, Jr. of New Britain; a daughter, Sandra Lockery of New Britain; two brothers; Anthony Lentini of Kensington and Robert Lentini of Newington; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Lentini of New Britain and Camella Lentini of Newington; five grandchildren, Ronald Lentini, Joseph Laskarzewski, Brenda Lockery, Kevin Lockery, and Kim St. Pierre; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Henry, Mike, John, Angelo, Pete, and James Lentini and his sisters, Louise Dawidowicz and Annette Spano. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 8:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
