Francisco Velez

Francisco Velez, 69, of New Britain, husband of Maria Cintron-Velez, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at home. Born in Puerto Rico, he was a New Britain resident for 16 years and was employed as a horse trainer and at Quality Sales before retiring. He was a member of Iglesia Evangelica El Remanente Fiel. Surviving are his beloved wife, Maria Cintron-Velez; eleven children, Francisco Velez Jr., Carlos Velez, Heriberto Velez, Vanessa Velez, Javier Velez, Valerie Debenedetto, Harold Velez, Vanelie Velez, Anthony Velez, Joseph Velez, Justin Velez; his mother, Luz Martinez; many brothers and sisters; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services and calling hours will be held Monday from 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 10 -11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
