Francisco Vazquez

Francisco Vazquez, 77, of New Britain, beloved husband of Auriela (Franco) Vazquez, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Juan Vazquez and Teofila Reyes. He was a New Britain resident for over 25 years and was formerly employed as a restaurant owner and chef. In addition to his wife Auriela, he is survived by his children, Carmen Vasquez, Merida Sanchez, Lucy Rivera and her husband Hector, Franciso Vasquez Jr., Evelyn Salas and her husband Victor Salas, Ruben Vasquez, and Richard Vasquez; his step children, Lourdes and Philip; four brothers, five sisters, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services and calling hours will be held on Friday from 12 Noon to 2 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
