Francisco Pereira

Francisco Pereira, 60, of New Britain, belovedh husband of Carmen Alvarado Pereira, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, he was a New Britain resident for over 30 years. He was formerly employed as a machine operator at Stanley Works and was a member of St. Mary's Church. In addition to his wife Carmen, he is survived by a son, Frankie Pereira; three daughters, Madelyn Farfan, Marlene Pereira and Mayra Pereira, all of New Britain; a brother, Jose Antonio Pereira, and a sister, Alicia Pereira, both of Caguas, Puerto Rico; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many other family members. He was predeceased by his father, Antonio Pereira Sanchez, his mother, Marcella Martinez Lopez, and a sister Nereida Pereira Martinez. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.
