Fernando Luis Gonzalez Iii

Fernando Luis Gonzalez III, 63 of Bristol, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday at Bristol Hospital. He was the husband of Simone (Boudreau) Gonzalez.

Born in Bronx, NY, Fernando was the son of the late Fernando Gonzalez and Margarita Muñoz. He has been resident of Bristol for over 20 years and was a former resident of Georgia. Fernando was a US Army veteran, serving in Vietnam.

In addition to his wife, Fernando is survived by his two daughters Bianca Gonzalez and Elizabeth Hernandez, his two sons Fernando Gonzalez and Damian Smith, his grandchildren; Joshua, Leon, Devianalee, Alondra, Alexa, J'ree, Xavier, Xavier, Brennan, Kayleb and Kayden, five sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial, with military honors, will take place on Friday at 10 AM at the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.  Memorial donations may be made to the family, c/o the Funeral Home.
