Fermin Correa

Fermin Correa, 86, formerly of New Britain, widower of Asuncion Correa, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013 in Orlando, FL. Born in Penuelas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Pedro Correa and Alejandrina Quinones. He was a former New Britain resident before moving to Florida in 2007. He was formerly employed for 43 years at OZ Gedney, retiring in 1989. Surviving are three children, Jeannette Correa, Fermin J. Correa Jr. and Lynette M. Correa; three sisters, Ester Quinones of New York City, Nilda DiNapoli of California, and Carmin Delgado of Puerto Rico; nine grandchildren, Alberto M. Correa, Nicolas J. Correa, Taimyra Correa, Xiara Correa, Alex Correa, Fermin Correa III, Vincent Correa, Charlotte Martinez, and Austin Martinez; five great-grandchildren, Elias Carpenter, Julissa Nylise Correa, Emma A. Molina, Lilyana Jenny Correa ,and Camila Rose Correa; a daughter-in-law, Jenny V. Correa; many nieces, nephews, Godchildren, cousins, extended family, and close friends. He was predeceased by two sons, Albert M. Correa and Leslie A. Correa. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 6-9 PM.
