Eva Marie (Richard) Voisine, 84, of Plainville, widow of Lawrence "Blanc" Voisine who died Dec. 13, 2014, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 at the Hospital of Central CT. Eva was surrounded by her loving family. Born in West Enfield, ME, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Celina (Theriault) Richard. She lived in New Britain for a short while before moving to Plainville in 1967 where she and Lawrence raised their family. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church. Eva devoted all of her life to being a homemaker and loving mother to her six children. She was hard working and didn't sit for a moment. She loved to make people laugh - her favorite expression was "you have to joke sometimes". Eva enjoyed playing guitar and singing a favorite tune of Kitty Wells and Loretta Lynn. She also enjoyed the company of her soul mate, Blanc. They were inseparable up to the very end. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Robert Voisine and his wife Jenny, Plainville, Lawrence Voisine Jr. and his wife Anne, Plainville, Sandra Nadeau and the late Kenneth Nadeau, Berlin, Gary Voisine and his wife Lucille, New Britain, Brenda Carrier and her husband Dany, Southington, and Annmarie Voisine and her husband Keith Meyer, Plainville; nineteen grandchildren, many, many great grandchildren whom she loved and adored, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a special son-in-law, Ken Nadeau; her brothers, Floyd, Stanley, Adelard, Vital, Rodney, and David; and by her sisters, Viola Pastyrnak, Marie Chasse, and Beatrice DiBaise. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. Calling hours are Thursday from 6-8 PM and Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
