A memorial service for Ernest Arthur Lindstrom, 86, of Cromwell, CT, will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007 at the Hilltop Covenant Church, 82 Hicksville Rd, Cromwell, CT. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of New Britain, CT is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Lindstrom died Sunday morning, Dec. 23, 2007 in the Pilgrim Manor Care Center in Cromwell, CT. He was born in Orange, NJ and lived in Verona, NJ much of his life. A 1941 graduate of East Orange NJ High School, Mr. Lindstrom served 3 years in the US Navy during World War II, stationed at the Panama Canal as a Radar Technician. He graduated from Newark College of Engineering in 1950. He retired from Westinghouse Lamp Division of Bloomfield, NJ in 1983 with 43 years of service. Mr. Lindstrom worked 10 more years at Eltee Pulsitrom of Caldwell NJ before retiring again in 1993. Mr. Lindstrom was an active member of the Evangelical Covenant Church of Montclair, NJ where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, a Deacon, and Financial Secretary. In Connecticut, he attended the Hilltop Covenant Church. Surviving are his wife, Elsie; daughters Anna Boronow, Sandra Holtin, and Nancy Gocht; a sister, Thyra Larson; a brother, Rev. Edgar Lindstrom; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Memorial donations may be sent to Pilgrim Pines Conference Center, 220 West Shore Rd., Swanzey, NH 03446
