Ernest A. "Ernie" Olson Iii

Ernest A. "Ernie" Olson III, 53, of New Britain, husband of Nancy Olson, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at UCONN Health Center in Farmington.

Born in New Britain, he was a lifelong resident.  Ernie attended St. Matthew's School and graduated from E.C. Goodwin Technical School in 1989 and Central Connecticut State University in 1994.  He was employed as a sales engineer at Little Fuse in Plainville.   Ernie was an avid cyclist, and biked with Trek of Newington.  He was also an avid sports fan, following UCONN Men's Basketball, New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. Ernie loved listening to live music at Walnut Hill Park with friends and family and visiting Hammonasset Beach in the summertime. He loved a good sunset and being outside in nature, no matter the weather.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy (Morales) Olson; two daughters, Emily Olson and Abigail Olson; his mother, Linda (Weymouthy) Olson; his sister Jennifer Olson; a nephew, Gabriel Aleksiewicz and wife Kelly; sister-in-laws, Maryann (Hector) Martinez and Margaret Morales; a brother-in-law, Richard Morales; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was pre3decesed by his father, Ernest A. Olson II.

Calling hours are Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 1-4 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain.
