Erika Mackendrick

Erika Augsburger MacKendrick, 78, of Kittery, Maine, wife of William A. MacKendrick, passed away on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 in York, ME.

Born in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Ida (Reich) Augsburger.  Erika was a former New Britain and Southington resident before residing in Maine.  She was formerly employed at Travelers Insurance Co. for 30 years, serving as the first female senior underwriter in the personal line.  Erika was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her best friend and love of her life, her husband William A. MacKendrick; two sisters, Lucy Riehm and Melanie Davies; her former brother-in-law, Ron Arndt; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Erika was predeceased by four sisters, Lilli DiValentino, Gena Novak, Martha Strak, and Ala Kruglik.
