Erik Michael Embacher, 20, of New Britain, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003 as a result of injuries from an automobile accident. Born in Hartford, he was a New Britain resident most of his life. He was a graduate of New Britain High School, where he played football for 4 years and was on the track team and a member of the Italian Club. He currently attended Tunxis Community College and was also taking real estate classes. He was employed at Verizon Wireless. Erik was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He served as a camp counselor at Camp Totalrec and was a avid sports fan, who followed the Miami Dolphins and Ohio State. Surviving are his father and step-mother, Wayne and Carol Embacher of New Britain; his mother and step-father, Marybeth Aparo and David Franckowski of Gardener, ME; a brother and two sisters, Wayne Embacher, JoAnn Embacher, and Christine Dynak, all of New Britain; his grandparents, Jean Embacher of Newington, Carol Aparo of Chino Hills, CA, Dolores Stella of Rocky Hill, Will and Carolyn Brolin of New Britain; his loving fiancee, Natasha Lyn, her son, Hunter Bocchichio, and her mother, Sandria Lyn; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. Memorial donations may be made to Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
