Elva G. Stregowski

Elva (Gordona) Stregowski, 82, of Berlin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12, 2024.  She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Stregowski.

Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Alda (Lombardini) Gordona.  Elva was a former resident of New Britain and Rocky Hill before moving to Berlin in 1978.  She was formerly employed by CBT and the Town of Farmington.  Elva was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, the Ladies Guild at church, the Kensington Garden Club, and the Red Hat Society.

Surviving are her son, Christopher Stregowski of Berlin; her grandson, Collin Stregowski of Seymour; her brother, Leo Gordona of Tully, NY; her sister, MaryAnn (Gordona) Nessel of Southington; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11:30 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, Kensington.  Burial will be private in Maple Cemetery.  There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Paul Catholic Church, Kensington.  Elva’s family would like to thank Dr. Brian Byrne, the staff of Apple Rehab Cromwell and the staff of Constellation for their kind, professional and compassionate care of Elva.  Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
