Elizabeth G. Talbot Swanson, 95, formerly of Kensington, died peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004 at Monsignor Bojnowski Manor. She was the widow of Albert I. Swanson. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Georgianna Royer Talbot. She was a long time New Britain resident before moving to Kensington 40 years ago. She was formerly employed at Stanley Works and later at Berlin Savings Bank, before retiring. Elizabeth's life centered around her church. She was a member of St. Paul's Church, the Ladies Guild and the Rosary Guild at Church. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger T. and Jacqueline Swanson of Southington, Russell A. and Lois Swanson of Ocala, FL; a sister, Agnes Herman of Southington; nine grandchildren, Cheryl Spina, Beth Delbuono, Richard Swanson, Bruce Swanson, Holly Hendershot, Robert Swanson, Christopher Swanson, and Timothy Swanson; nine great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Delbuono, Rachele Spina Dominick Spina, Tiffany Swanson, Heather Swanson, David Hendershot, Danny Hendershot, Shane Swanson and Tyler Swanson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004 at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 6-8 PM.
