Elizabeth Santos

Elizabeth Santos, 77, passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2026, with her loving family by her side.

Elizabeth was born on October 9, 1948. She was the beloved daughter of the late Maria E. Ayala Sanchez and Remigio Santiago Oliveras. She built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work, values that guided her throughout life.

Elizabeth was a devoted wife of 52 years to her loving husband Ben Santos. Their marriage was a testament to dedication, partnership, and enduring love. She was a proud and caring mother who was predeceased by her daughter Joanna Santos, whom she has now been reunited with.

She was also predeceased by her siblings, Margarita Santiago Ayala, Maria DeJesus, Pedro Santiago Ayala, and Luis Santiago Ayala. She is survived by her sister Benigna Santiago Ayala.

Elizabeth spent many years working at Stanley Works, where she was known as a hardworking and dependable employee before retiring. She took great pride in her work and providing for her family.

She was also a faithful member of St. Mary's Church where her faith remained an important part of her daily life.

Elizabeth will always be remembered for her strength, resilience, and selfless love. Her kindness, dedication, and unwavering support touched the lives of many.

Her memory will live in the hearts of her husband, family, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11 AM at St. Mary Church of St. Joachim Parish, 544 Main Street, New Britain. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
