Elizabeth "Betty" (Bloomquist) Hult, 93, of Cromwell, wife of the late Jester Hult, died peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Pilgrim Manor in Cromwell. Born September 12, 1918 in New Britain, she was the daughter of Harry and Ruth (Molander) Bloomquist. Betty lived in Plainville prior to moving to Covenant Village in Cromwell. Betty worked as a supervisor for Stanley Works until her retirement after 47 years of service. She was a member of Bethany Covenant Church in Berlin where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the Sanctuary Choir for over 50 years and active in Covenant Women. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Christine and James Aforismo of Rocky Hill, Kathleen Melillo of Newington, Paul and Martha Swanson of Newington, and Peter and Claire Swanson of Lebanon, NH; her grandniece and grandnephews, Lauren and Taylor Blankenburg, and Andrew and Eric Swanson. She was predeceased by her sisters, Evelyn Lindell and Gloria Swanson. Her family wishes to thank the entire staff at Pilgrim Manor. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 21 at 1:00 pm at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. A time of visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in New Britain.
