Elizabeth Garcia

Elizabeth Garcia, 21, of Hartford, died unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 2, 2002 . Born in New Britain, she was a long time New Britain resident, moving to Hartford four years ago. She attended Roosevelt Middle School and New Britain High School. She was employed as a daycare provider at Joanne's Daycare Center and was a member of St. Mary Church. Elizabeth loved to sing and dance. Elizabeth was a caring and devoted mother to her beloved daughter, Jayleah-Faith Hunt. She is also survived by her loving mother and step-father, Betsy and Lawrence Betterino of Kensington; her loving father and step-mother, Salvador and Elba Garcia of Hartford; two brothers, Fernando Garcia of Bristol and Lawrence Betterini of Kensington; a sister, Eve Betterini of Kensington; her maternal grandparents, Maria and Pablo Feliciano of New Britain, her paternal grandmother, Josefa Garcia of New Britain; many aunts and uncles including Aunt Miriam and Aunt Wanda; and many cousins including Angela and Melissa. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 8:30 Am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at St. Mary Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
