Elizabeth A. Delio

Elizabeth Ann Cahill Delio, 55, of Bristol, died peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2006 at St. Mary Hospital in Waterbury. Born in Norwalk, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Gertrude Tomer Delio. She was a former New Britain resident for over thirty years before moving to Bristol nine years ago. Elizabeth was employed as a bookkeeper at Forestville Lumber Company. She was a former member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. Elizabeth enjoyed gardening. Surviving are her loving children, Frank Cahill and his wife Debbie of New Britain; Dawn Pereira and her husband Joseph of Newington; a brother Samuel Delio of New Canaan; three sisters, Rosemary, Carol and Eleanor; four grandchildren, Joseph, Ryan, Cameron and Kaylee; and many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth had a special place in her heart for her loving grandchildren. Friends and relatives are invited to join together to honor Elizabeth's life on Friday at 7:00 PM at the VFW Post 511, 41 Veterans Dr., New Britain. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave., Meriden, CT 06450-1004. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, New Britain, is assisting the family with arrangements.
