Eileen G. Centurelli

Eileen G. Centurelli, 82, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025 at the Hospital of Central CT.

Eileen was born on October 24, 1942 in New Britain.  Eileen graduated from New Britain High School in 1960 and then graduated from New Britain General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at New Britain General Hospital for many years as well as other medical facilities including the Hospital for Special Care. She later graduated from CCSC and taught nursing at EC Goodwin Tech.

Eileen faithfully attended Mass at St. Jerome Church. She enjoyed camping, bingo, arts and crafts, and reading.

Eileen is survived by her loving husband, Peter Centurelli Jr.; her sister, Shelley Orlando in California;  her sister-in-law, Carol Bonfiglio; five children, Anthony Centurelli, Judith (Ernest) DeFelice, Sandra (Rich Ministro) Centurelli, Joseph (Nella) Centurelli, and Steveann Centurelli; thirteen  grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Gage, Nicholas, Victor, Eric, Adam, Christopher, Michael, Samantha, Sophie, Zachary, Holly, and Robert; and eight great grandchildren, Alex, Logan, Emily, Duncan, Freya, Riley, Giuliana, and Izabella. Eileen was predeceased by her sister, Betty Landry.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Erickson- Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain  followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St Jerome Church, 1010 Slater Rd.,  New Britain.  Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in New Britain.  Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
