Edward Bruno Zembko, 85, of Plainville, a former long time New Britain resident, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Helen (Sytulek) Zembko. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Brunislaw and Anna (Anderson) Zembko. He lived in New Britain before moving to Plainville in 1994. Edward was formerly employed as a custodian in the New Britain School System. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and was an avid softball and baseball player, having played with many teams and in many leagues, including the Dwight AC Softball team. Surviving are two daughters, Laura Angliss and her husband David of Cheshire, Linda Juliano and her husband Nicholas of Barkhamsted; two grandchildren, Nathan Angliss and his wife Danielle, Gillian Glaser and her husband Patrick; a great grandchild, Logan; two sisters, Alice Losi and her husband Mario of Orange, CA, Anne Gray and her husband William of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church in New Britain. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Monday morning from 10-11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
