Edward Olson Jr.

Attorney Edward Olson, Jr., 86, of Berlin, went into the LIGHT on Tuesday October 23, 2007 at the University of Connecticut Health Center. He was born in Middletown, CT. He was a country lawyer for most of his career. Attorney Olson did his undergraduate work at Wesleyan University. After serving two years in the 8th Air Force in England, he returned to the States and entered and graduated from Harvard Law School, magna cum laude. He is survived by his wife, Muriel Carl Olson, his two sons, Bradley Olson and his wife, Martha, of Washington DC, and Mark Olson and his wife, Gail, of Rocky Hill; three stepdaughters, Leslie Gauberti, Simone Brown Ron, and Bice Marsolek Steve, and their families. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jean Werdelin Olson. One of his great passions was the restoration of his circa 1800 colonial in every detail down to the house's hand-forged nails. We celebrate Edward Olson's devotion to family, friends and clients; and his contributions to the communities in which he lived and worked; Middletown, Hartford, and Berlin. Foremost was his joy of life, his interest in all people, and his love of telling a good story. The blessing and thanksgiving for the extraordinary life of Edward Olson and the blessing and thanksgiving for the family will be private.
